Elliot is growing up so quickly. I love how fun she is and how her wonderful little personality is developing more every day, but I hate that it seems like just yesterday that my baby girl would cuddle in my arms and coo.... those days are long gone. Little punky is a mover and a shaker. She is standing on her own and constantly "cruising" from one object to another. She is always up for a party and is so happy spending time with people. She loves to clap and dance and is into everything. She is one busy lady.
We have had a great summer. Mark and I have both been busy with work, but we have been able to slip in some fun trips as well. We have been out at Edisto with Mark's family and at the beach in Georgia for a trip with friends. We are truly blessed!

A faithful friend...

That said, the Ables family received a fantastic dose of medicine on our annual Friends trip (we need to think of a better name than that). So starting last year, four couples (including us) go on a surprise weekend that one of the four couples is in charge of planning. This year was the Jones' turn and it was WONDERFUL. We headed down to St. Catherine's Sound about 40 min. south of Savannah. We stayed in her parents amazing house on the marsh and just relaxed, played games, ate, shopped, stayed up too late and laughed until our sides hurt. We are quite a growing group as well. Last year there one baby and this year there were four!
Mark and I were refreshed by our dear friends and loved spending time with them and their precious little ones. We feel so blessed that Elliot will grow up with these annual summer trips and will have sweet memories to cherish.
