I just found this picture on our camera. It made me smile and tear up at the same time. I LOVE it. It sums up her Christmas and life in general...she is a happy girl. We are so blessed.

Why Re-invent the Wheel
My sweet friend Calee did a great post on our New Year's/Birthday beach weekend, so the most efficient thing for me to do is the link to that post instead of doing my own...some call it shameless, I call it smart thinking.
I will say that we (Mark, myself and especially Elliot) had such a wonderful time. We are blessed beyond measure to have such dear friends. Good memories.

You gotta ease back into it....
Surprise friends!
Hi, my name is Lindsay Ables. You may not remember me or my sweet family, but I used to update my blog somewhat regularly. I wanted to beat New Year's to the punch (I have never been big on New Year's resolutions) and get the ball rolling again. So, here I am. However, like the title states, I may be easing in. Bear with me as we get going again.
Here are a few funny little photos from the past few weeks/months.

Get in Shape, Girl!

I had this little fitness kit when I was little and LOVED it! There are photos of me somewhere wearing a sweatband and doing my stetches at the ripe old age of three. Like mother like daughter.
Elliot got a few good workouts in while on vacation with family. I realize they are not the best quality pictures, (I took them from my phone)but I couldn't resist sharing!

Start off your day with something sweet...

Okay, this post is definitely a little departure from the norm since this blog is practically all things Elliot. The other morning I was reading some of the blogs I love and came across this gem of a website.

This mama creates little scenes of what she thinks her precious girl is dreaming about! I have thought about these pictures so often since seeing them. I am guessing you are probably thinking the same thing I did..."this mom must have a lot of time on her hands". That said, the more I have thought about it, the more I feel like this little project is a fabulous use of her time. Absolutely sweet and priceless!
Hope this makes you happy today :)

Family Biz
Last night was a sweet summer night. Mark brought home a large terracotta pot to plant our lime tree (fun, huh!?) It started out as a playtime with the hose and then onto the work. Punky is not afraid to get her hands dirty and every other body part for that matter. She was so helpful patting down the soil...she patted and patted and then patted some more!
