Pictures of Miss Elliot

Well, we just got a new camera and we are really excited about it. It is great! It has very little shutter lag, so we are able to capture smiles and expressions as they happen. Mark and I still have a lot to learn, (we are both pretty camera illiterate) but are looking forward to experimenting and getting good shots of our little lady. Here are some shots from today, as well as some from while back.

Note to Kim and David: We think Elliot will be quite the water skier. See picture above showcasing her form. Mark "pulls her out of the water" and sways her side to side. She straightens her arms and legs as she "comes out of the water" and if she has her daddy's long feet, she will be a perfect candidate to barefoot.

Hey everybody,

This was the first time where we got Elliot to respond to something with a laugh. She's been smiling/squealing for a while, but more in a general "life is good, i just spit up and now someone else is cleaning it up again..." kind of laugh. We could never get her to do it consistently, until now. Let the era of "what else will make Elliot laugh" begin...

Surfer Girl

In honor of Mark's surf trip, Elliot and I had a little photo shoot tonight. She is a natural and was kicking just like she was trying to paddle out. It won't be long before she will want to join her Daddy in the waves. Plus, she looks pretty amazing in her shades and her thighs don't look half bad either - you can't just get those sitting around... you have to work for those rolls.

Girls Week

So it is the First Annual Girls Week at the Ables household. Actually, I should probably drop the "Annual" part of the title because Mark might take that and run with it. Anyway, Mark is in Costa Rica surfing with five of his friends. I am a little confused by this trip because I thought this was the kind of trip a man takes right before the baby is born... you know... the last hurrah type thing. Well, I guess he is already feeling the need to take a breather from the estrogen-filled home in which he now resides :) Joking aside, I am so glad he is able to do this and I know he is having a great time. He said he was going to be checking the internet, so this blog goes out to Dad. Ellie and I miss you so much and we cannot wait to see you. We are doing great! Here are some pictures to let you in on what we have been up to.

We went to a superbowl party and Elliot really seemed to be into the game - you would be so proud. There is a picture of her sitting with our friend Shelly and everyone thought it was great that she is such a football fan.

We also decided to try the mohawk look on Ellie. I think it is pretty cute.
